
Maria Camila Vera Cepeda serves as the Health and Economic Development Coordinator at AMEXCAN. Originally from Colombia, she holds a degree in Public Health and brings a strong passion for Behavioral Health, particularly in understanding human behavior and the needs of diverse communities. In her role, Camila leads initiatives that promote the well-being and economic stability of Latino and immigrant families across North Carolina. She focuses on expanding access to health education, strengthening community partnerships, and developing programs that empower individuals to make informed and confident decisions about their health and future. Her bicultural perspective, commitment to community-centered work, and dedication to comprehending the unique experiences and needs of those she serves make her an essential part of AMEXCAN’s mission to uplift and advocate for the Latino community.
